School Administrator - Maidstone

Full-time 14.50+ per hour Temp-to-Perm Start ASAP

Academics Ltd are currently working with a welcoming and supportive school in Maidstone who are looking to appoint an experienced School Administrator to join their busy office team.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for an organised and reliable administrator looking to secure a long-term position within a school environment.

About the Role

As part of the school`s administration team, you will provide vital support with the day-to-day running of the school office. Responsibilities will include:

• Managing a range of general school administration duties.
• Maintaining accurate pupil records and school information.
• Updating and retrieving information using the school`s MIS.
• Handling telephone calls, emails and general enquiries.
• Supporting attendance, admissions and other pupil administration.
• Preparing letters, reports, documents and correspondence.
• Maintaining organised filing and administrative systems.
• Processing paperwork and supporting the smooth flow of information around the school.
• Assisting with post, deliveries and general office coordination.
• Providing administrative support to teaching staff and the Senior Leadership Team.
• Dealing with confidential information appropriately and professionally.
• Ensuring all safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection procedures are followed.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working within a school office - essential.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Experience using SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or another school MIS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The confidence to communicate with parents, pupils, staff and external contacts.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload.
• A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
• An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality within a school setting.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
